The Bosch Digital Twin – IAPM is an AI-powered Integrated Asset Performance Management System built based on natural intelligence and first principles. It is a dynamic software model of a physical asset or process that relies on sensor and instrumentation data to understand its state, respond to changes, predict outcomes, improve operations and aid judgements for business decisions. Challenges
Like any effective data solution, high-quality data is crucial to the success. The Bosch Digital Twin requires high-speed, high-fidelity vibration data up to 24kHz to be collected and transmitted from on-premise locations to the Bosch Cloud Instance, and this has to scale to Bosch customers worldwide. Bosch partners with Prescient to deliver this critical data infrastructure for its state-of-the-art Digital Twin – IAPM system.
Solution
Prescient collects high-speed vibration data and low-frequency temperature data through an edge gateway and IO-Link Master. Prescient then validates, transforms, and contextualizes the data and sends them to the Bosch Instance. Due to the high-speed, high-fidelity requirements of the vibration sensors, data collection and processing are challenging, but Prescient’s distributed low-code data software meets these requirements and enabled Bosch to deliver solutions to its customers within one month.
